“Anxiety is the dizziness of Freedom”

– Soren Kierkegaard

We live in a world of rising anxiety. With all the uncertainties both locally and globally, it is no wonder. Anxiety can also be a response to current day pressures and issues with interpersonal relationships, as well as work-related issues and dormant problems that are now surfacing. Symptoms of anxiety or an anxiety disorder can include:

  • Feeling Nervous
  • Feeling Powerless
  • Having a sense of impending danger, panic, or doom
  • Having increased heart rate
  • Hyperventillation
  • Sweating
  • Trembling
  • Feeling weak and tired
  • Trouble concentrating except on the present worry

If you can relate to any or all of these symptoms, relationship therapy in a safe and trusted place is a great place to begin. To be able to talk through all the stressors helps clarify them in your mind so that slowly, overtime, you can get to the underlying root causes.  It is when one gets to the root causes that the anxiety can begin to lift and it becomes less consuming and more manageable. My goal is to help you gain insight into the symptoms to be able to work through and heal the root causes.

We will also collaborate on the use of psychotropic drugs and there potential need in the treatment process.  Although medication has its place, a few dietary changes can also have a positive impact in the treatment of Anxiety.
